50-65% with auto brightness on.
Auto brightness will automatically adjust the brightness for you depending on the setting you are in. (Outside, indoors, etc)

Night time in bed, with a small side table lamp on, ~25%
Daytime 75-100%, depending on visibility.

I switch a bit back and forth between about 40% and auto brightness. I generally like it a bit dim, especially when I'm reading pdf documents.

OK, I had a question if I have my Auto-Brightness on whould I drag the Brightness Adjustment Slider all the way down to Zero ? Or Should I leave it half the way in between or where exactly ?

Correct me if im wrong but i think it doesn't matter where you put the slider till, if you have auto-brightness turn on. The screen detects light and will adjust accordingly. So let's say even if you set the slider to 0 with auto brightness turned on, if you're under the sun you could see the slider auto adjust it to maximum brightness.

Max Brightness. I'll turn it down a nudge while I'm reading something in iBooks.

In normal indoor light I'm at around 35-40%, but I use auto-brightness and that turns it up and down.

It's not a bug - it's just a slight change to how it works. If you set it in normal light to what you want in normal light, and then you set it in dim light to what you want in dim light then it should adjust back and forth automatically.
