Cutting a Nano Sim Card
Hey!
Has anybody cut their old sim card to fit into the Iphone 5? I'm asking this because my service provider here in Germany is currently experiencing a shortage of NANO SIM cards and as far as I can tell, there's no faster way of me getting my hands on one. I've seen some tutorials on Youtube and even some cutting devices on Amazon. It looks like no big deal but I was wondering if any of you tried it. Cheers! |

Yes it was no problem, just using scissors, no need to buy a cutter.
Read this link http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Blo...5/ba-p/6061444 http://www.airportal.de/nanosim/ No need for any of that 'sanding down' business either the thickness is fine.

I cut a full SIM to nano and had issues. I could make calls, but no SMS. This was with Verizon

I went to one of these third party cell phone accessory stores in the mall and they "punched" my mini to a micro for $5. Seemed like it was easier than to attempt it myself.

I used a template I found on Google, cut it out, taped it to my SIM card and used scissors to cut it. Always cut with MORE than you need. It's easy to trim it down, but impossible (?) to untrim.
