Avast not totally functioning afters witching on Mac Mini
Every time I switch on my Mac Mini, Avast tells me one of its protections ("Engine") is not working. The other protections report as ok.
I have to restart it again for everything to work as it should. It's no more than annoying, since it works fine afterwards, but I'd like to avoid it. Any idea on how to do it? |

If so get rid of it and when you want a scan download Clamav. GGJSudios, a user on this site has very good guides on Viruses and malware on the mac. There are no known viruses for the mac, there is malware but if you use common sense you are pretty safe. I never had any virus nor malware on my mac and that's already more than 10 years. I will try to find the post, should be in the guide sector here on MR Edit: Link to Malware FAQ |

![]() As beginner, I decided to take all precautions and then go from there. Still, I want to install more than what's available on the MacStore. I read the about the Clamav and will give it a go. Thanks! |
