iPad Mini: Mini LTE or iOS 6 Sound Settings

I have an iPad 1 and iPod Touch 3rd. Both have iOS 5.
I now have a iPad Mini with 6.

I am going through the Settings and have some questions.

Under sounds it says "Ringtone" and "Text Tone" is there texting built in other than iMessage? Can I tell google voice to use that ring tone.

The ringtone is only used for Facetime calls, the Text Tone is used for iMessages. Not sure if the LTE version support regular text messages, as I only have the WIFI version.
