few iphone 5 questions

Well, I plan to buy my 1st iphone (phone 5 GSM unlocked for T-mobile USA) for Christmas and I have some questions:

1. Will there be a Christmas sale?
2. I'm a college student, so is there an opportunity for me to get 15% off of an iphone?
