Buying rMBP Price Check
I am thinking about buying a rMBP - 16GB/512GB version and Bestbuy had an open box version for $2290. Is that a good deal or would there be a better deal waiting until the fall release and getting it then? I'd still pick up this gen as I don't want the latest version just looking for a good price here.

Sounds like a good price to me - but you are buying an open box machine, so it's obviously going to be less than 'new'. New with these specs runs $2700.
That being said, look into Best Buy's return / warranty policy, since it is more probable to find something wrong with an open box machine than a new machine.
Also, I would look into the AppleCare details. I think the machine started it's 1 year standard warranty when it was purchased, not when you purchase it. Check these details with Best Buy to make sure you understand how much of the warranty you have left.
