Can I Sell Phone Under Contract?
I have an iPhone 4, but am eligible for an upgrade. I'm happy with the 4 and it works perfectly. I'm wondering if I can get an iPhone 5 for $200, not open or activate it, and sell it. I'm seeing them go on eBay for $600-700.
Is there any reason I can't do this? How much is a reasonable price to expect to get? |

Can't help you on price but yes, sell away. You will then be tied into a 2-year contract using a 2 year old phone (isn't that the age of the 4?) but to each their own.

Once upgraded, a new 2-yr contract starts. Who is responsible?

You do have to activate it then deactivate it before you sell it otherwise whoever gets it will be unable to.

The contract is tied to the number not the phone.

If you're with Verizon or Sprint make sure that you deactivate the new phone and reactivate the new one before selling it.
If you're with AT&T just remove the Nano Sim and go get a new micro sim activated for your iPhone 4. |
