Any way to read and copy to NTFS USB Key?

- Read/Write NTFS from native Windows.
- Read only NTFS from native Mac OS X
[*]To Read/Write/Format NTFS from Mac OS X, here are some alternatives:- For Mac OS X 10.4 or later (32 or 64-bit), install Paragon ($19.95) (Best Choice for Lion and Mountain Lion)
- For Mac OS X 10.5 and later, including Lion, FUSE for OS X
- For 32-bit Mac OS X, install NTFS-3G for Mac OS X (free) (does not work in 64-bit mode)
- For 64-bit Snow Leopard, read this: MacFUSE for 64-bit Snow Leopard
- Some have reported problems using Tuxera (approx $36), which is an enhanced version of NTFS-3G with faster performance.
- Native NTFS support can be enabled in Snow Leopard and later versions, but is not advisable, due to instability.
- AirPort Extreme (802.11n) and Time Capsule do not support NTFS
- Maximum file size: 16 TB
- Maximum volume size: 256TB
- You can use this format if you routinely share a drive with multiple Windows systems.

Is it safe? Will it break my Snow Leopard?

Yes, it's safe. No, it won't "break" your SL. I wouldn't recommend anything that wasn't safe to use.
OSXFUSE works well to read and copy files FROM my NTFS USB key, but it says it's READ ONLY, yet I also need to WRITE some files back to the USB Key.
Is there a way to WRITE to a NTFS USB key in iMac?

Did you restart your computer after installing it? Mac OS X reads NTFS natively, without needing any 3rd party app. The purpose of OSXFuse is to enable writing to NTFS. Even with writing to NTFS enabled, you may still be restricted from writing, due to permissions on the drive.
I installed ntfs-3g-2010.10.2-macosx.dmg and now I can read and write to my NTFS USB Stick 🙂
osxfuse apparently can only READ but not write.

No, OSXFUSE is a "compatibility layer" that enables you to install NTFS. You don't just install OSXFUSE and nothing else. You're supposed to install OSXFUSE, which enables you to install NTFS-3G.
