Whenever I start a new email in Mail the window for this new email is placed in a way that it is completely hidden behind the main Mail window if I go enywhere else (to the Finder or another application) in-between. When I then want to continue writing the email I first have to move the main window in order to see the mail window (or switch the active window from Mail's Window menu).

I have at least 100 times moved new email windows in a way that they are partially sticking out from the main window, hoping that Mail would remember this position for the next new mail - but it doesn't.

Is there a way to tell Mail where to place new mail windows?
