iCal Not Launching

Hi folks...

Clicking on iCal on the dock no longer launches it, I get the blinky triangle once or twice and nothing else. Click-and-hold only gives me the show-in-finder option. Double clicking the original does nothing.

Any suggestions? can this be reinstalled by itself without reinstalling the os, and if so, can I keep my old info, assuming it is still available? Be gentle, I'm not a techie.

Back up your calendars first.
Users>Libraries>Calendars

You can download iCal from Apple's website. Here it is http://www.apple.com/ical/
Try to reinstall and see if that helps.

I have the same problem

On my machine at work it pops the error 'iCal has unexpectedly quit' I tried to reinstall the app after deleting all things iCal I could find on my drive but it still will not launch. I guess I will have to contact apple support. It is ironic that the only osx app I have that fails to launch is an apple one.

iCal is still very buggy. They should have kept it as a Beta like with iSync.
