Fusion confusion. Why no bootcamp on 3TB Fusion but OK on 1TB Fusion

I notice that for some reason that I cannot fathom, Apple advises that it is not possible to install Bootcamp on a 2012 iMac with a 3TB Fusion drive although it is ok on a 1TB Fusion drive.

Therefore I was wondering if I put a 512SSD in my 2011 iMac with a 2TB HDD and make a single 2.5TB Fusion volume, will I be able to install bootcamp on it.

I guess to answer this depends on the reason that BC cannot be installed on a 3TB Fusion but can be on a 1TB Fusion.

As long the partition doesn't have more than 1TB you are fine
