mac mini 2011 upgrade to ML server query

Hi,

I have a 2011 Mac Mini with 10.7 Lion Server and would like to upgrade to Mountain Lion server.

Would I need to buy from the app store both a Mountain Lion & Mountain Lion server?

After a "clean install" of ML & ML server would the internet recovery process recover to a ML install or the previous Lion Install ?
