Upgrading from Arrandale

My current set-up is a 2010 mbp with 2.66 i7. I'm looking to add a 13" macbook air to my arsenal, and I was wondering how the current ivy bridge 1.8 i5 will compare to my current machine? Faster, slower, etc.

I haven't been keeping up with how things have changed over the past few years in processors.

Thanks.
