my 2 year old daughter puts my ipad 3rd gen on her lap and watches her tv programmes and has taken better care of it than my gf.. who nearly dropped it might i add..

no case or screen protector

2 yr old 1 - 0 clumsy adult

My daughters (3 and 6) have had theirs in this case since last Christmas. Their cousins also have this case. I believe this to be the best case for kids. It does add a bit of weight, but not too much.
