Windows: First Time PC building

I am wanting to build a gaming PC but I have no idea what components are compatible with each other. I have selected a few and dose any know if these are compatible:

Asus GeForce GT 610 Nvidia Graphics Card (1GB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0)

Asus Sabertooth 990FX - Socket AM3+ - Chipset AMD 990FX - ATX

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory

AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor (4.0/4.2GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 125W)

Be quiet! Pure power L8 *730W Power supply BN183 NEW V2

All around bad choices for a gaming rig, your graphics card is way too low budget, look at a GTX 660 or ATI 7850 as decent entry level gaming cards, 660TI & 7870 are nice step ups...

You real don't want that processor for gaming, go with intel

go with intel http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116504 for $214

and pair that with z77 sabertooth

Lastly your power supply is just all around sketchy, a corsair 650tx would be a nice choice for decent gaming rig.. it's rebranded seasonic, which is simply quality. step it up to a Corsair ax 850 if you ever wanted to do SLI/Crossfire

Yes they will be compatible. I agree with cosmic joke though, especially where the graphics card is concerned. The 610 is not going to be great gaming wise.

yup, that junk is all compatible you're going to be trying to game on that though, you'll want a better graphics card... you could get a cheaper motherboard and a better card at the least to try and stay within budget.

the fx-8350 performans equally as far as gaming goes as a dual core i3-2130, except the ivy bridge processor is $75 USD cheaper and uses a fraction of the amount of power as the fx-8350... if you're just gaming with it you'll save real money on your electricity bill w/ no sacrifice on performance... you could pair that with a cheap z77 board like a p8z77-v lk and put that money into the graphics card...

not to mention HD 4000 might be faster than the low end gtx 610! you could hold off on buying a card period and just use the iGPU until you were ready

You might want to look into prebuilt bundles: http://www.scan.co.uk/3xs-overclocked-bundles something like that - it's a great way to get started.

Also aim for a GTX 560 plus.

That GPU would be worse than integrated graphics card. Don't even buy one if you're going to get that.

that is a terrible, terrible graphics card. you'd be far better off paying less for a used previous generation top end card than using that, if you intend on upgrading in the future. You are effectively throwing money away there.

As mentioned above, go with a reputable power supply company like Seasonic or Corsair. Even XFX makes decent power supplies. I'm not sure why people like to cheap out on the PSU. If that thing goes, your system could potentially go as well.

But, we might be able to build you a better rig if you gave us a price range.

I'd bump up to at least a GeForce 640, and if you can pull it off the 660 Ti is a nice piece of kit.
