Slow speed on Straight Talk in S. Florida
Is anyone else experiencing very slow Internet speeds. I'm in Miami and getting like 60kbps down sometimes 236kbps. This is not normal.

You're using a cell provider named straight talk.... what do you expect?
Never had an issue crusing the streets of Miami with AT&T..... don't they use the same towers? |

Yes they do. But I'm used to speeds b/t 2-3Mbps down, sometimes 4. I don't know what's going on now.

its called straight talk, not straight data for a reason.....jk.
correct me if im wrong, but dont MVNO's get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to bandwidth on their host network? that could explain it. a majority of their bandwidth, depending on time and load, could be going to their post paid customers and leaving you with what little is left.

They finally fixed my Internet speeds. I called ST like three times, they did something in the background. I suspect they had mistakingly throttled my data, but they didn't want to say so.
Look at my speeds now :-)
