$100 off with Verizon data plan at Best Buy

Hey guys,

Best Buy is offering $100 off all tablets that are enrolled in a Verizon data plan. Not sure if you need the 2 year contract.

I went to best buy and nowhere does it say you will get $100 off the ipad price.
The only thing I saw was $100 off geek squad tech support

I was just there last night and there was a Verizon sales rep next to the iPad section who was saying that if you sign up for a Verizon data plan, you would get $100 off.

I don't use data so I opted for a wifi-only model, but she kept telling me to get the cellular one since they would be roughly the same price after the $100 discount!

EDIT: I went to the one in Pasadena, California, if that makes a difference. Not sure if this is only for specific locations...

Just a FYI, to get the $100 off, a 2 year agreement is required on the tablet.

I was thinking that too... $100 off without contract sounded too good to be true!

But for those of you who need a data plan, this deal is pretty good!

It's a pretty nice deal. I'm taking advantage of it, getting a Mini for the girl as an early birthday present, but with AT&T who are offering the same thing.

If AT&T is offering it, why wouldn't Vzw?
