I have iOS and an iPad 4 with lightning connector. I also have a web page that has links to .m4v video files that play natively on Apple devices. When I click the link on one of those files, the video plays just fine full screen through my iOS Safari browser, right over the web.

My question is, if I get the new Apple HDMI lightning video out connector, will Safari play these files via video out (NOT mirroring)? I want to be able to output the video to a TV but turn off the iPad screen while its playing.

Is that possible? Will it work?
