MBA 4 days old battery issues
Hi,
Just bought a MBA 13" 8GB 128GB. Awesome little machine. Really happy with it so far. However, just noted my battery health is 98% sometimes 97%. Is this normal with a shiny new machine ? Just read Apple's advices on batteries, and did a callibration: drained the battery until shutdown, wait 5 hours and fully recharge, but it doesn't seem to solve it. Also, the estimated time for battery is just 5 hours. I have just the Chrome opened, brightness to 1/3 and no backlit keyboard. Apple claims 7 hours on the 13". Do you think i should return mine and ask another MBA, or im just freaking out for nothing? http://i48.tinypic.com/2yyb6n9.png Thanks. |

It's nothing man.
The battery life indicator is unprecise so basically you're freaking out over nothing but I remember it myself too when I bought my first mac - an MBA - a year and a half ago. Don't expect to get 7 hours of charge out of your MBA though unless you're being very very conservative of your use. ---------- Just enjoy the fantastic new machine you've acquired! =) |
