Hi All,

I've just purchased my first macbook and got a 13" early 2009 model. I think it is the MB881B/A model.
It is definitely the 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo model.

It currently doesn't have a superdrive in it and I did manage to acquire a GSA-S10N drive. Unfortunately, when I came to fit it, I realised that the macbook is the sata connection for that drive so it won't fit.

Can anyone tell me which drives are compatible please? I've been looking at GS23N or GS31N drives. Will they fit?

Thanks,
Rich

most of the 2009 MacBooks (5.2) were fitted with Mat****a drives - model number is UJ867A.....(Panasonic since the filter seems to be working !)

The GS23N and GS31N drives are sata but are from the Unibody MacBooks - not going to fit.....
