[iPad] will ipad 4 play 1080p mkv ???

hi, i own an ipad 3
and my only concern with this ipad is that it can't play 1080p MKV files smoothly.
i can play mkv files using avplayer HD , jailbroken of course.
since the new ipad 4 is not jailbreakable yet, im wondering will it have the power to play 1080p mkv smoothly ?
everything about ipad 3 is enough for me, as i dont do gaming, i only use my ipad for web browsing, watching movies, and reading book and megazines.

i'm thinking to upgrade mine to ipad 4 if it can play 1080p mkv smoothly
but if it still can't play it, i have no reason to upgrade.

720p on ipad 3 is working fine, but i love 1080p more , since the ipad's screen are able to shows the differences.

please help me to decide, thank you.

iPad 4 should handle 1080p mkv's with no problem.

i converted all my *.mkv files to *.m4v files so i could play them in itunes. all without any problems, it just took a while to convert each one over. but it works.
