I have a MacBook Pro mid 2009. I have OS X 10.8.2 and installed Win 7 using Boot Camp. The MacBook worked well, a little slow (especially Win 7 as I do a little programming in Windows), so I decided to upgrade. I bought a SSD Corsair 256 GB hard Drive and 8 GB RAM.

The MacBook now works so much better and I am very pleased with the results. However, when I reinstalled Win7 using BootCamp as before, I could see during the installation I had a problem. I tried the 64 bit version, then the 32 bit! Unworkable.

I do not understand how I can upgrade the hardware and Win7 runs even slower. It cannot be the SSD drive as OS 10.8.2 works well. Any ideas?

Thanks

I have installed VMWare Fusion 5 trial version to see if Win 7 runs normally. It does! How weird is that? Updates still take a while but the OS runs at a normal speed.

Nobody else has had this problem?
