iPad Mini: Warranty/Insurance options

We are getting three iPad minis for our household for Christmas. I always order apple care and now apple care products for our apple products and will do so for my kids' iPad minis. I don't like having to constantly micromanage their every movement with hem so that works best. Also, they will have theirs for two years so the timing makes sense. For mine though.. I think I might go with worth ave group as I'm only going to keep mine until the retina version comes out which will likely be within a year. I know that they don't cover manufacture defects which is fine bc my regular apple warranty will. Is there any other concern about them? They are way cheaper than apple care obviously... Which is a plus.
