Hi there. I believe you're the only person I know who ordered their iMac late in Dec (or even mid-Dec) and has a firm delivery date in Jan. Most of the folks who ordered on or after 6-10 Dec have only "January" as the ship date.

PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT!!! Checked 15 minutes ago, and then again, and voila! Preparing for shipment. Ordered on Nov 30th and changed on December 7th. Amazing. Excited to get this sweet beast. January is the promised shipping timeframe, so we'll see when it gets here!

4 January or bust

If I don't receive the iMac by 4 January (28 December to 4 January) I will be canceling the order and returning all the accessories I purchased for a full refund. I have until 7 January to get a full refund for the 32 GB of OWC RAM, extra apple keyboard with numeric pad, Superdrive, and AppleCare. As of today still in limbo......Processing item.......

For those who are already seeing "Preparing for shipment" on their status, when did the iMac show up in your Apple support profile? Was it while it was still processing? I know I won't get mine before the Holiday, but I am certainly hoping to see some sort of change!!

I placed my order on Dec 12. Order is "Processing", and expected to ship in January. This is the first Mac I have purchased, so excited. Meanwhile my current computer is making a death rattle noise and can barely handle multiple adobe programs.

It's bummer that you're processing in the meanwhile... but if this is your first ever Mac, you're in for a TREAT You're going to have an amazing, error-free, sleek Apple experience, and you're going to love every second of it. Totally worth the wait. Hang in there!
