Is 960x540 the resolution? Macs can play all but the very latest WMVs. 🙂

Yes, that's the resolution.

You'll need to get Windows Media Player and VLC to play pretty much any WMV you want. 🙂

Also take a look at Flip4Mac to get wmv to play in QuickTime. Awesome program
