Can't transfer any music from itunes to ipod

Yes I have checked my settings to sync all the songs that are checked. I am on the most recent ios and version 9 or something of itunes. The only way for me to get songs on my ipod right now are to download them on the ipod.

Well to sync with the newest version of iOS you need at least iTunes 10.7. (BTW 11.0.1 came out today)

Update the version of your itunes, If I'm not mistaken if you are currently using the latest IOS you must update your itunes to the latest version for it to be compatible, anyways are you having the same problem when syncing photo's or apps?
