Best Buy Offering $50 Off of All iPhone 5 Models [Update: Now With $100 Gift Card for Rewards Zone Members]
![]() Just two days after offering a $25 gift card when purchasing an iPhone 5 on a two-year contract, Best Buy has improved their deal on Apple's latest smartphone. They're now offering $50 off all iPhone 5 models from Verizon, Sprint and AT&T. ![]() It doesn't appear to be possible to take advantage of the $50 discount while also receiving a $25 gift card and there's no indication how long this deal will last. Update: Dealnews notes that Best Buy is now offering the $50 discount with 5,000 Reward Zone points (equivalent to a $100 Best Buy gift card) on the 16, 32, and 64GB iPhone 5 models. Free shipping, online orders only. Article Link: Best Buy Offering $50 Off of All iPhone 5 Models [Update: Now With $100 Gift Card for Rewards Zone Members] |

Any reason why their off-contract price is $50 ABOVE Apple's?

I got my IP5 over a month ago at BBY and because i had the silver reward zone i called into night and they priced matched for me...FYI if you bought your phone in the past month i think its covered under their holiday return policy

Very enticing. I wonder if the AT&T stores will get into the discount game...I don't have a Best Buy near me.

Best Buy charges 99¢ more on almost ALL Apple products. It's one reason I don't buy them there.
Of course, $50 is very tempting. Last edited by halhiker; Dec 9, 2012 at 09:15 PM. |

This turned out to be a sweet deal for me. I was registered for the Phone Freedom offer and bought my phone about a week or so ago.
Called them to price match this and they happily agreed. $100 off an iPhone, sweet! Anyone else interested, you don't need to haggle or anything, just mention that it's their policy to match prices on retail stores which include Bestbuy.com http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Payment-...at204400050011 Hope that helps

I used to work at a Best Buy and vowed to never shop there unless I actually have to. $50 off is tempting but I'd rather get everything I buy with an on it directly from Apple.
Also, as an Apple fan, I like how Apple has an Apple station within Best Buy stores for exposure. However, it is saddening that these stations aren't manned by anyone who knows Apple products. Instead, they're manned by the same incompetent Best Buy employees who know little to nothing about the products and told simply to sell more accessories. Perhaps one or two Apple geniuses at these stations? Last edited by iMikeT; Dec 9, 2012 at 11:16 PM. |

Weird I though there was a minimum price these phones could be sold for which is regulated by apple. Most the time companies will offer things like a gift card to get around this but it looks like thats not the case here.

Offer good through 1/5/13. Does this mean a new model or possibly the TMobile version is right around the corner?

Where did you see that? I'm buying one for my boyfriend but I can't do it until Friday so I'm really hoping this deal is still good then.

I got my ipod touch at an Apple store and they price matched Best Buy. Maybe they will honor the phone price if you prefer to shop directly at the Apple store.

Nice deal. I wish they had the 64GB offering. I think I may need to jump to that from my 32GB. I am hovering at only 1 GB free on my 4. I imagine after 2 years or so I will have elapsed that...

Buy it here -- https://rewardzonemobile.com// -- and get another $100 in Reward Zone certificates (free to join Reward Zone, I think...?)
You do have to buy in through that specific site tho.

$36 Activation Fee
Great deal. Going through RewardsZone now. Is AT&T's $36 "Activation Fee," the normal/correct amount? Tx

Too bad they don't have any in stock. You'll have to wait forever for it to ship.
