cingular v singulair

So, I was making some VEGGIE STEW (zomgwtfbbq DELICIOUS!), and the TV was on in the background.

a "singulair" ad came on. I was only listening, and when I heard "singulair" I immediately thought "cingular"

When you hear them said aloud, they sound exactly the same.

Why do you think Cingular hasn't sued Singulair's pharmaceutical company (or the other way around) over trademark or copyright infringement?

I'm just curious, it's kind of bugging me.

Singuliar is made by Merck. It treats allergeies by and there is also a Singuliar for Athsma. Singulair is not exactly like Cingular. Singulair is pernounced more with focus on the last "air" because it has to do with breathing- as you will see in their logo:

Because they're too busy screwing over their customers and making the service as bad as possible

O in case you were wondering... no i dont suffer from allergies.

The only allergie stuff I've heard of is flonase... or w/e its called.

Cingular: Sing-you-lar (as in far or Mars)

Singulair: Sing-You-lair (as in lair or hair or share)

They do sound the same but again sound different and are totally different.

Singulair is an allergy/atshma medication. Its main competitor is Nexium.

Actually, it's more like:

Cingular = SING-you-ler (the word "singular", basically)
Singulair = sin-gyou-LAIR (accent on last syllable)
