iphone when answering or declining calls

how come sometimes when someone calls it will say answer or decline then other times it just says slide to answer with no option to decline? i have seen both on the lock screen i believe

I've never ever seen the option to answer or decline when my phone is locked. I get the slide to answer when it is locked.

got ya maybe i'm wrong....id there a way to send directly to voice mail when locked?

I've seen "Blocked" come up on the lock screen a couple of times, but normally just "slide to answer"

It has to do with your phone being locked or unlocked. That's all.

Double tap the power button to send to vm. A single tap silences it and let's in continue to go through.
