Need help and feedback comparing iMacs

I am thinking about switching computers with my parents. Going from Old iMac (Mine) to New iMac (Parents) - shown below. I specifically bought my old computer for video editing. I am wondering if someone can tell me if my parents is better equipped (it is obviously newer) and if this is a smart move for me (I have their consent, don't worry).

I am going to upgrade both to 10.8.2 regardless and I want to buy more memory for both also, so that is not the issue. I just don't know much about Processors Cache or the Graphics. For example why does mine have more L2 Cache but no L3 Cache? Differences like that and if they will impact my editing positively or negatively. If anyone can take a look at these visible differences and give their opinion I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

Looking at CPU PassMark benchmarking scores:

Parents iMac - 2600-2700
Your iMac - 2000-2100

So their CPU theoretically has about a 20% jump on yours so a decent improvement. Not sure if that is going to translate to a whole lot of real time performance difference in everyday tasks. You memory and lack of SSD drive are the biggest barriers to improved performance as I see it.
