iPhone 5 Sync Problems Please Help!!

So I got a Black 32gb iPhone 5 for Christmas and I got all my apps and contacts and stuff on to it no problem, but when I went to sync music it kept having issues. It would say it started syncing show 20gb worth of music on the little bar ( I know alot of music but I love music hence my name) and it says could not find it, and then the bar goes back down. It only syncs stuff I personally copied from a cd. All of the other music my dad copies and then just uploads it to a family storage(stora) I can listen to it in the library I just have to log in to the stora and show it where it is at. I never had problems with my 4 so I don't know why it is now having issues. (Both itunes and iPhone are updated to the most recent version.)
