GB, the people have spoken, will you PLEASE take Piers Morgan back?

More than 48,000 people have signed a petition that they posted on the White House website demanding that British CNN talk show host Piers Morgan be deported over comments he made on air about gun control.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...8BN0M920121224

btw, are there American news personalities on British/European tv that speak out against the way of life in those countries? {{serious question}}

Nope, he can say what he likes and it bloody well shouldn't impact his residency.

Grow up.

Doesn't the first amendment allow free speech?

Fortunately for him, the Constitution not only protects my right to bear arms, but his right to free political speech.

oh, i agree and my post was facetious....but seriously, the guy is obnoxious as hell...anyone who comes on his show and disagrees with him or offers opposing viewpoints gets shouted down and is not given enough time to answer his question.

He may be one of the biggest jackasses on Earth but he does have the right of free speech.

Lol, 48k is nothing. I bet you I can find 48,000 hillbillies who just can't understand his accent and therefore wanna deport him faster than you can find 48,000 smart people.

Last I heard you can express a differing opinion in this country. Sounds like 48k gun toting imbeciles promoting a petition that violates U.S. law. Not to imply all gun owners are imbeciles, I own several myself.

When did we drag Orielly/Mathews/Shultz/Hannity into this?

You see what I'm getting at right?

Sorry, I wasn't referencing any other topics or posts you had. I just listed other obnoxious hosts that tend to just shout down opposition when a valid point is made.

well now you can add those petition signers to your list of those that want to silence people who don't agree with them

Why would I?

I can easily change the channel and let others enjoy their first amendment rights. I think the petition the OP posted shows how infantile the US mindset can be sometimes.

Perhaps instead of trying to silence him, these gun fantasists should run out and buy some more guns to protect themselves from Piers?

LOL I can just picture someone shooting their television set when the CNN logo comes onto the screen (In the style of the Simpsons).

You should watch the Orielly vs. Stewart debate. It was hilarious, and sadly, more thought provoking than any of our presidential debates were.

Just as he has a right to free speech so do those that don't like what he says. I think we all can agree it goes both ways.

I don't think the president will do anything with signatures.

Seriously? I'm pro gun ownership, but I am certainly not against restrictions. He's right- this country needs to make some changes. He has every right to speak his mind, anyone who says he doesn't is anti-American and truly dangerous to this country.

Take every single person who signed that petition and deport them.
