When I 1st got this laptop in 2010, it was my only computer & I used it both for mobility travel, & as a desktop, as a result, I had it plugged into AC most of the time. I did do some battery calibrations, & have just 32 cycles on it.

I have since got a desktop, & I know I should have calibrated the battery more often, but forgot.

This past week, I thought I would do another calibration, & after charging again, & checking in coconut battery & istat pro, the battery health has dropped from about 96% several months ago to 16%, on just 32 cycles.

should I do more calibrations? should I run it off the battery some more?

or is the battery done for?

Do you have AppleCare on it? It may be worth a try even though batteries are not typically covered if "worn out" that one sounds like its just failed from little use.
