Do the Apple Retail Stores have the GSM unlocked iphone 5s?

Yes they have contract free (unlocked) phones at the apple stores.

But I don't think they do trade ins like a car dealership.

Yes they do. But the Apple store will not give you any money for your 4S. Try gazelle or a radio shack.

they will let you trade it in btw.. but im sure you'd get more from craigslist or ebay..
