Mac Mini 2007 OS 10.4 driving me crazy

I´m desperate with the way my OS X 10.4.11 works.

Out of nowhere, the Facebook page doesn´t load perfectly, and the browser automaticcaly downloads php files to my desktop (such as like.php, xd_arbiter.php, activity.php).

YouTube just doesn´t load videos sometimes.

I can´t open magnet links.

I would be glad if anyone can help me, because I don´ t want to give up on my Mini.

10.4 is a very outdated OS. You should upgrade to 10.6 or 10.7. Most of your problems would disappear.

this. tiger or 10.4 is not support by many internet sites. what is the exact set of spec for your mac mini? is it the 1.83 core 2 duo? with 2gb ram

It´s a 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo 1GB 667 MHz DDR2.

I´ afraid the update will not work well in this hardware.

Max out the RAM @ 2GB and you should be good to go for Snow Leopard or Lion.

Snow Leopard would still work @ 1GB but it probably wouldn't be too pretty.

According to Wiki, osx 10.6 Snow Leopard should run. Maybe upgrade the RAM it's cheap.

I have just updated to 10.6 and I'm very very happy. The mini is so much faster and without the bugs so far.

Thank you for saving my mac!

Snow Leopard is a very good OS. I think you'll also be happy if you get another GB or 2 of ram.
