I've decided to return my iMac to the Apple Store this weekend (within the 1st 14 days). I haven't returned an Apple product before so I'm unsure.

Do I need to make an appointment with the genius bar or can I just walk in with the iMac in the box and tell them I'm wanting to return it?

Also, do I need to do anything special with the iMac before I return it?

Thanks!

Just curious why are you returning?

It's actually been giving me problems. Sometimes when I go to turn it on I have to press the power button dozens of times and it will freeze up. It also shuts down randomly on its own. Not my cup of tea.

Sorry you're having problems. Are you returning it for a refund or exchanging it? Either way, I'd re-box the iMac and bring any paperwork (receipts, etc.).

I don't think you have to make an appointment, but if the store you're going to is busy, it might be faster that way.
