2nd gen synch problem ?

Just been given a 2nd gen touch (16gb)) by my brother.
How can I synch it to my music in itunes, but keep his music on it too.
Everytime I try I get a message that everything on the ipod will be erased if I synch it !

A step by step solution would be mosy appreciated.

You can't; you can only sync it to one library.
