I have an ipad 3 for 5 months and this is the first time this has happened.

So I have inapp purchases turned off.

I make it so that I have to enter my password when I want to buy an app.

I do this so my 5 year old doesn't buy apps.

I got burned the other day when he wanted a free app and I entered my password. Then I usually hot the button the top of the ipad so that he has to reopen the ipad.

Of course, you know what happened next my son ends up getting a couple apps because my app store login was still valid.

My question is, after I buy a free app, I want to turn off my app store login so he can't buy apps that costs money without me knowing it.

Any suggestions?

thank you in advance,
jctivo

Go into store settings and restrictions on, there is "immediate" or "15 minutes" for password, you need to check "immediate". And you can turn off in app purchases as well if you choose to do so. I did this for my grandsons Mini, and the password has to be entered for every purchase.

Thanks

I will try that tonight when I get home from work.

Only got burned for a couple dollars.

Thanks
