there is no way to revert to the original carrier icon/text btw, people are having this issue.

The carrier editor creates an extra IPCC specifically for reverting.

yes, but apparently using that file doesn't revert it for some people.

Havent tried reverting, but I am not too terribly worried about it. A full restore will wipe everything... if I ever need to take it to the Genius Bar.

This doesn't help everyone because you uploaded an ipcc file and those need to be created by the Carrier Editor app. Not everyone can use 13.1 carrier update. Your updates can only go up in number. You need to share the images and people can create their own update files.

I was able to revert back. After each time, reboot phone. Dont switch it back until you reboot. Then revert, then reboot again.

Well yes... because this is just changing the carrier logo. When connected to M-Cell, you get a different alpha tag and I guess the ipcc files we are installing aren't configured to display an image for M-Cell. I am guessing the app could be updated to support M-Cell. Email it's creator and suggest it.
