I like the idea of moving music controls to the Notification center.
From the Notification center you should be able to see:
-Notifications: calls, texts, emails, etc. (obviously)
-Quick toggles that you can choose (Wifi, airplane, blutooth, etc)
-I like your ideas of the slideable tiles. Tiles should be open to third party applications and like widgets (ESPN, weather, Facebook, twitter, etc.)
Some may argue that it could be a bit too cluttered but I think it could be done

Yes I think the tiles should be an open part of the sdk for developers. It would allow users to do things that they could normally do only in the app. In a sense it would ba a scaled down version of multitasking.

A bit Android/WP8 like, but interesting concepts.
MacBook Pro (Early 2011), 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, OS X Yosemite | iPhone 5 16GB White, iOS 8.1.1

The concept is interesting. The execution of it in that video is hideous. If Apple released anything which looked like that, I'd consider ditching iOS.
The white "widgets" looked horrid, sorry.
