Hi, currently I own a 2011 macbook pro 15" 2.2 ghz quad core i7 which I love but I don't use as a laptop. I have it connected to an external monitor with apple keyboard and mouse.
I'm thinking of selling it to buy a 2012 mac mini 2.6 quad i7 and use the extra cash to buy an ipad
My question is if I'll notice a downgrade as regards graphics. I use my mac for audio post production for short films. My concern is if the mini will handle my audio software (while reading hd video at the same time) Cpu-wise the 2.6 ivy bridge will definetly be better than my 2.2 sandy.
Would you consider this move an upgrade??
I'll be installing an ssd to the mini for OSX saving the original drive for my media and work.
I'll appreciate any feedback from mac mini users! Thanks
