iBooks Author 2.0 on Snow Leopard

I have been unable to find any definitive report as to whether iBooks 2.0 (the current version, not 1.0) can be made to run on Snow Leopard. I have tried the fiddly version-reset trick that worked for 1.0, but the app crashes on launch. Does anyone know? Thanks!
