Just a word of advice. The Bose Companion 5's recommend a maximum distance apart of 24" and the screen width of the 27" iMac requires them to be at least 26.5" apart. Through some experimentation having them this far apart makes a HUGe difference in sound. The sound becomes very "empty". The sound difference is VERY noticeable even to someone like myself who is not an audiophile.

It is a shame, because they really do look great. I think I am going to try the audio engine A5's if I can find a place to put those beasts...

I wish Bose would release a newer generation of computer speakers. I think the current ones have been out for years. Maybe newer models will work with 27" screens.
