Hello,

just today I saw the following advertisement when posting a reply here:
2e5liya.png

It links to this Wondershare site, which is quite a notorious site to SPAM for, but they misleadingly advertise for HandBrake, though they do not offer HandBrake of course, only their own applications, for which you have to pay for.

Are such ads okay here?

I was also wondering this too. People with little knowledge of these "fake" ads could get scammed :/

Personally I mostly use tapatalk on my ipad for macrumors.

The ads come from an outside agency.

What to do about annoying ads

That I know, thus my thread, asking about it.

I should have referred to this in my OP then:
If you find a particular ad especially annoying (e.g., an ad that is oversized, obscures the page, moves around, or has sound), let us know by posting a screenshot in our Site and Forum Feedback forum and telling us the URL it links to. Using this information we can ask to have it removed from the ad pool.

I am not annoyed by the ad, even MacKeeper ads are visible here. But since it is a misleading app, and promising an app Wondershare does not even offer, I though there might be a policy for that, thus this thread.
