Trouble sending pics by text

Has apple done some kind of update where we are not aloud to send pics by text anymore? I have been trying to do that since last night and the only options I get is photo stream, copy, add to contacts, email, add to facebook, twitter, or print. I do not see send by message like I use to do. Is anyone having the same issues?
