Very light humming beeping noise barely noticeable
My macbook makes a humming (light beeping) when being used. Its hardly noticeable, but its coming from the top left of the keyboard (right where the RAM is) it doesnt do it when the computer is in sleep mode. Can someone tell me what this is? Is it harming my machine? Anything need to be replaced? Im replacing the stock RAM myself, with an 8 GB kit soon when it comes in the mail. Will that fix it? Im a noob when it comes to technical computer things. Thanks in advance, Hooch p.s. im really hoping its not the hard drive... Hopefully someone knows whats up.

I ram memtest and results are: ok. Maybe its just the ram running?

Could be the hard drive spinning noise being pushed out of the vent on the top of the machine - or perhaps some electrical inteference picked up and fed through your speakers?
Ram doesn't generally make noise...
