Does Otterbox plastic snap cover make glass contact?

I have had the iPad 3 for a month now and recently removed the built in screen protector on the Otterbox, my concern is, does the plastic snap cover/stand make contact at all with the glass? I tried looking through it and seems there is a tiny bit of clearance but I wanted to see if anyone knows for sure. Thanks!
