got my new iMac : quick storage question

hi
i got my new imac with all the usual apps that come with it.
i used file migration to copy across everything from my macbook air which
says i used 60 gb on the air.....
now i have 2 admin accounts on my iMac and it says i used 110gb of space .. so i am thinking there are plicate apps etc on my new iMac.

please can someone tell me how i can just have the migrated admin user and get rid of the user account it came with ... making sure that all the duplicate apps etc are deleted at the same time please ...

i wasnt sure if i just " - " the account in sytem prefs if it will delete the duplicate apps etc .... i want to get my space back lol

Normally applications go into the Applications folder, which is not in a user folder, unless you installed them that way.

Use DupeGuru or Find Duplicate Files or Decloner to scan for and delete duplicate files.

i went to delete the spare admin account and it asked if i wanted to delete home.

when i did the space used was same as my air :-)

thanks just thought i better ask before deleting stuff
