Weather Widget in Dashboard not working
Just today I went to my Dashboard and noticed my Yahoo Weather widget (Stock) isn't updating. I restarted the dock, removed the widget and added it back, but it wont even recognize my city... Anyone else have this problem?
(And yes I have a working Internet connection)

I've been having similar problems with Weather on iOS 6. Limited just to my town. So I suspect the data source.

Same problem, first noticed today.
Neither weather nor stocks are updating on dashboard (OS X 10.8.2)—both use Yahoo! services, so I suspect somebody broke an API somewhere. I’ve not experienced any problems on iOS.

If you check the console you should see the following errors:
Jan 11 19:02:56 DashboardClient[7816]: com.apple.widget.weather: Fetching data failed, no <response> Jan 11 19:03:09 DashboardClient[7816]: connect() failed. errno:53, fd:8, port:5900 It looks like it is a server issue or an API issue on yahoo's end. |

I’ve always preferred Weather Underground’s widget because Apple’s pulls data from an airport that is in the same city as me, but actually quite a distance away. WU’s widget gives you more flexibility. Not quite as pretty though.

Still no weather, no stocks
You’d think “someone” would notice the app was broken and fix it.
