Interpreting Geekbench scores

My Core 2 Duo with 4GB of Ram and HD 4670 1 GB received a 3515 overall score on a 64 bit Geekbench.

Is this good? Or is it time to upgrade?

Since current Macs are thrice to four times faster, your current score might not be much, depending on your computational needs, thus maybe state them and we can help further, as your computer is still able to perform many tasks without problem, though more RAM can help a lot (your Mac supports 16 GB RAM), even an SSD upgrade, though you have an iMac, will do wonders.

Btw, you mention in your signature, that you have an iBook with a G4 CPU, why don't you state, that you have a 27" iMac, only the CPU? One has to search for your machine first to give you further advise.

Quick note: I'm running OS X on a PC. My computational needs are relatively low, I do a little web and graphic design, I use Office and iWork suite, and I casually game (Sims 3 and GTA IV). I'll be going to college for teaching, so I suspect my my needs will remain the same.
